LASSIE - THE PAINTED HILLS - FULL MOVIE
Affectionate collie Lassie is in the care of two orphans, Samantha (Sally Boyden) and Chip Stratton (Shane Sinutko). Their grandmother decides to take them on a road trip to visit a relative, but dies unexpectedly in transit, leaving the Stratton kids to fend for themselves against a cruel world and their even crueler uncle, Stuart (John Reilly). After a tussle with animal control, Lassie must escape from the pound in order to come to children's rescue.
Published in 1940, Knight's novel was filmed by MGM in 1943
